L’Archi Gourmand

In the summer of 2024, Architecture de collection opens Cellule 418 on the 4th street of Marseille’s Cité Radieuse. On this occasion, our agency is partnering with the shopkeepers who bring this remarkable architecture, designed by Le Corbusier and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to life.

Nestled on the 3rd floor of the Unité d’Habitation, the “L’Archi Gourmand” tea room stands out for its unique character. This pastry shop offers a convivial experience to its visitors.

For 50 years, Monsieur Muller has run the tea room on 3rd Street. In March 2020, he let Rachel Zimet take over this emblematic place. Now called “L’Archi Gourmand”, the patisserie is housed in a small 35 m² cell with a breathtaking view over the harbor and the Frioul archipelago.

Rachel has transformed the premises to offer a range of quality snacks, from gourmet breaks to daily specials. Coffee and tea lovers can also enjoy regional pastries such as navettes, canistrelli or zezettes, all made with organic flours and butter, and unrefined sugar.

To pay tribute to Charlotte Perriand, the architect and designer often overshadowed by the great Le Corbusier, Rachel has thoughtfully renamed several of the cookies after Perriand’s iconic pieces of furniture, such as the “Navettes N1” and the Zezettes.

L’Archi Gourmand welcomes over 75,000 visitors a year, and offers a varied menu tailored to both local and visiting customers.
