In the summer of 2024, Architecture de Collection opens Cellule 418 on the 4th street of Marseille’s Cité Radieuse. To mark the occasion, our agency is teaming up with the shopkeepers who bring this remarkable architecture, designed by Le Corbusier and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to life.

Built in 1952, Marseille’s Cité Radieuse is a modern architectural gem designed by the famous Swiss architect Le Corbusier. It houses 326 apartments, each designed with meticulous attention to detail and functionality.
Nestled in the heart of the Unité d’Habitation, the Hôtel Le Corbusier bears the name of its architect and is a unique place of its kind. It is the only hotel in the world to be integrated into a building of this scale and global renown, offering visitors an unrivalled experience.

When Dominique and Alban Gérardin took over the hotel in 2003, they discovered a standard establishment, whose furnishings and fittings did not match the remarkable identity of the place. Passionate about architecture and design, the couple undertook an extensive restoration to restore the original spirit of the building. They reintroduced lamps and chaise longues by Le Corbusier, antique furniture and Mondrian-inspired rugs. Their meticulous work led to the creation of the “Lilette” suite, a faithful reproduction of the bedroom of former Cité Radieuse teacher Lilette Ripert, with its podium bed and enfilade desk.
The hotel offers 21 exceptional rooms, combining atypical design and modernist comfort. Some rooms are specially equipped for disabled guests, guaranteeing a pleasant stay accessible to all. Each room offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea, the magnificent Friuli Islands or the rolling hills of the hinterland. The breathtaking panorama and peaceful atmosphere of this remarkable architecture promise total relaxation and sophistication.
