UNBUILT [Design d’artistes en liberté] unites an exclusive collection of original furniture and objects created by French and international artists, both renowned and emerging, in recent years.

Two simultaneous sales exhibitions will be held during the Milan and Paris Design and Art Weeks in September and October 2021, during the Salone del Mobile, Paris Design Week at Maison&Objet, Art Paris Art Fair and the FIAC.

A selection of unique pieces, some accessible, others made in limited numbers, are offered for sale there as well as via un-built.com.

New pieces will be unveiled periodically during this period: artists’ concept drawings and commissioned works.

This double event was conceived by art critic and curator Alexandra Fau, and made possible by the invitation of two multidisciplinary agencies with unique vision and expertise in their fields: Chatillon Architectes and Mr.Lawrence, founded respectively by François Chatillon and Annalisa Rosso and Francesco Mainardi.

As Alexandra Fau, founder and director of UNBUILT, explains, ” this project gives concrete expression to the research into the relationship between art and architecture that I have been conducting with artists, architects and designers for over 10 years, since the exhibitions Architecture invisible and Chez soi “.

The aim is to lift the veil on an artistic practice specific to the home, one that is both rooted in history and contemporary, to provide the creative touch that is missing from our interiors.

Since its first installations in Hyères and Paris, UNBUILT has collaborated with artists such as Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann, Sophie Bonnet-Pourpet, Kamil Bouzoubaa-Grivel, Morgan Courtois, Louise Desnos, Alexandre and Florentine Lamarche-Ovize, André de Lumen, Emilie Pitoiset and Gary William Webb.
