Description
A contemporary home with an industrial aesthetic!
Architect and interior designer Laurent Ramadour designed this superb contemporary family home in metal, completed in 2017.
The house spans 140 m² over two levels.
The ground floor features a lovely, bright living area with lounge, open-plan fitted kitchen and a storeroom with outside access. The first floor, accessed by a spiral staircase, includes a master suite with shower room and balcony, three bedrooms and a bathroom. Numerous picture windows set into black metal frames open onto the south-west-facing garden with its terrace and swimming pool equipped with a counter-current system.
It is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, a few steps from the centre of Saint-Jean-d’Illac, around 30 minutes by car from Bordeaux.
A real bias
The architecture of the house has a strong graphic bias. Its exposed metal frame, unfinished on the outside and black lacquered on the inside, gives it a strong industrial aesthetic. The façade is a real composition, alternating corrugated steel, glass and smooth black and orange cladding. The house has reversible air conditioning and solar panels.
