On May 30, 2026, an exceptional evening took place at the foot of Brasilia, in Marseille’s 8th arrondissement. The event was organized at the initiative of several residents, in partnership with Architecture de Collection.

Residents and local business owners gathered around a convivial buffet to celebrate community life and pay tribute to the historical, architectural, and social qualities of a building that holds a special place in their hearts, having been inaugurated in 1966.

Awarded the “20th-Century Heritage” label in 2000, Brasilia remains relatively unknown to many residents of Marseille and to the wider public. This event therefore marks an important step in the ongoing efforts to raise awareness of and enhance appreciation for the building, led by various stakeholders. An exhibition, created in collaboration with artist Lionel Borla, was presented in the lobby, featuring a selection of books, photographs, and graphic works.

For the occasion, Architecture de Collection drew on the expertise of its teams, art historians and real estate professionals, to produce a booklet made available to residents. Through its historical narrative and architectural analysis, the publication serves as a particularly valuable tool for raising awareness and fostering appreciation of the building’s heritage.

Aurélien Vernant, Director of Architecture de Collection, and Dorone Seror, the firm’s representative for the Provence and Var region, were present to support and contribute to this heritage-focused initiative.

Speeches and musical performances punctuated the evening, creating a warm, friendly, and festive atmosphere.
