High and dry, 2026, silver gelatin print
Over the past two decades, Katinka Bock has brought her work into remarkable buildings, seeking to continually renew the dialogue between contemporary art and major architectural experiments. Following Oscar Niemeyer’s Copan Building (São Paulo, Brazil) and Fritz Höger’s Anzeiger-Hochhaus (Hanover, Germany), Le Corbusier’s Maison La Roche becomes a new space for artistic expression. Her sculptures, photographs and installations engage in a dialogue with the formal purity of this seminal work, a laboratory for Le Corbusier’s architectural thinking.
A French-German sculptor and visual artist, Katinka Bock trained at the Berlin University of the Arts and the École nationale des beaux-arts de Lyon. Following in the tradition of Arte Povera and artists such as Mario Merz and Giuseppe Penone, she is drawn to humble, natural materials — terracotta, wood, plaster, ceramics, leather and fabric — which she combines with found objects: a stone, a ladder, a rope, a table, a steel ring or a football. In recent years, Katinka Bock has also devoted herself to working with bronze.
This exhibition marks an unprecedented encounter between the artist’s work and the architecture of the father of modernism, Le Corbusier.
Conceived as a sensitive dialogue between these two worlds, the exhibition was initiated by curator Raphaël Giannesini, in partnership with Galerie Jocelyn Wolff, with the collaboration and support of Architecture de Collection.

Fondation Le Corbusier
Founded in 1968, the Fondation Le Corbusier’s primary mission is to preserve and promote the architect’s work. As the beneficiary of Le Corbusier’s entire estate, it holds the majority of his original drawings, studies and plans, as well as an extensive collection of written and photographic archives. The Foundation also safeguards Le Corbusier’s moral rights in relation to his entire body of work worldwide.
Based at Maison Jeanneret, the Foundation also manages Maison La Roche, Le Corbusier’s apartment and studio in Paris, and the Petite Maison on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland.
As part of its mission to promote and pass on the architectural heritage of the 20th century, our agency, Architecture de Collection, regularly engages in dialogue, exchanges and collaborations with the Fondation Le Corbusier.
