Julien Fuentes

After studying at the Camondo School of Interior Architecture and Design, Julien Fuentes began his professional career in 2006 at the Paris office of renowned architect Dominique Perrault.

Dominique Perrault soon entrusted him with the reins of the agency’s Interior Architecture and Design department. Julien Fuentes spent eight years there, working on several large-scale projects, including the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg (2019) and Ewha University in Seoul (2008). He also works on interior design and scenography projects, notably using furniture from leading Italian manufacturers.

On the strength of this prestigious experience, Julien Fuentes returned to his native Marseille and opened his own agency in 2016, so he could fully express his creativity and deploy his talent. He quickly took on a number of private projects, for clients in Marseille as well as in Paris and abroad. At the same time, he became a teacher at the Ecole Camondo in 2020.

For each project, Julien Fuentes develops an identity specific to the context in which he works, in constant dialogue with his customers. He imagines for them what he calls “pictorial” layouts, focusing on the “framing” of each space.

Inspired by renowned designers and interior architects such as Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Muller van Severen and studio KO, Julien Fuentes asserts a relaxed, mixed-media approach to the project, with particular attention paid to colors, weft effects and patterns.
