This exceptional evening will provide an opportunity for the architect, who has been named a Chevalier of the Légion d’honneur and is a recipient of the Prix Femme-Architecte, to present the “Le Phare” project, unveiled last year. Commissioned by the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, the project involves the construction of its new headquarters and the rehabilitation of Halle J0, facing Place de la Joliette.

This metal warehouse, built at the end of the 19th century, was long considered a boundary between the city and the port. Corinne Vezzoni aims to transform it into a vibrant, open space that reconnects these two entities, while preserving its heritage value.
The “Le Phare” project, like many of the architect’s other works, reflects her deep connection to local culture, shaped during her six years of training at the École d’architecture de Marseille-Luminy. From the Phocaean city, where she established her firm in 2000, Corinne Vezzoni undertakes projects both in France and internationally, developing architecture that is attentive to users and the territory, with a constant commitment to contemporary environmental and societal challenges.
