Through a sensitive approach, informed by social sciences and anthropology, designer matali crasset invites visitors to move beyond the observation of a world in crisis and to experiment with useful design, rooted in daily life.
The Site Le Corbusier presents the exhibition “Nos pieds d’argile,” co-curated by designer matali crasset. This event is part of the theme “Resource(s), Foretelling Tomorrow,” carried by the Saint-Étienne Design Biennale, and marks the conclusion of a three-year artistic exploration by the Site Le Corbusier on the city and ecological transition.
Through what she calls “life scenarios,” the designer presents demonstrative architectures, new experiences of habitability, and prospective narratives to imagine other possibilities.
Exhibition presentations all day.

Boulogne and Marseille : the legacy of Fernand Pouillon
Architect and urban planner Fernand Pouillon (1912–1986) was one of the great builders of the post-World War II reconstruction era in France. His works are characterized by harmonious integration into their sites, rigorous proportions, noble materials, and collaboration with sculptors, ceramicists, and landscape artists.

Built in 1952 on the ruins of the Nouvelles Galeries, which burned in 1938, this 10-story building is the joint work of architects René Egger, Fernand Pouillon, and Jean-Louis Sourdeau. The building is now labeled “Remarkable Contemporary Architecture.”
The tour, guided by resident-mediators, includes common areas, the original model, inner courtyards, and visits to a few apartments.
