Our agency would like to highlight and relay its work to save the Cit\u00e9-jardin de la Butte-Rouge in Ch\u00e2tenay-Malabry, now threatened with destruction.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This major architectural complex, emblematic of urban planning with a humanist social aim, was initiated in 1931 by Henri Sellier, then managing director of the Office des Habitations \u00e0 Bon March\u00e9 de la Seine. The project, which was spread over some thirty years (1931-1960), was entrusted to architects Joseph Bassompierre, Paul de Rutt\u00e9, Paul Sirvin and Andr\u00e9 Arfvidson, as well as landscape architect Andr\u00e9 Riousse. This housing estate offers a hygienic vision of housing, with a strong emphasis on the natural environment.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”50″][image_with_animation image_url=”10834″ image_size=”full” animation_type=”entrance” animation=”None” animation_movement_type=”transform_y” hover_animation=”none” alignment=”center” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” image_loading=”default” max_width=”100%” max_width_mobile=”default”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”50″][vc_column_text]This garden city, where construction issues are more topical than ever, is now in jeopardy. The mayor of the commune wants to radically alter the complex to make way for new buildings.
