La Villa Sayer <\/em>\u00a9 Bernard Chauveau[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]In 1972, Babette and Louis Sayer commissioned Marcel Breuer to build their home in Normandy, near Deauville: a unique adventure, atypical for a couple of their background, which resulted in a feat as technical as it was poetic, realized jointly by the architect’s American and French offices, under the direction of Mario Jossa.<\/p>\n

This second home will remain the only house built in France by the Bauhaus architect, who emigrated to the United States in the 1930s. Nestled into the slope, beneath a bold veil of white concrete, it was the adaptation of an American style for French family life.
