His cross-disciplinary work, focusing on the importance of the link between architecture, society and politics, formalised the foundations of comparative architecture and contributed to the emergence of fundamental research in architecture. Driven by a profound desire to pass on knowledge, Jean-Louis Cohen is the author of more than forty works, published in many countries and translated into several languages. Throughout his career, he has taught at the highest level and curated exhibitions.
