The famous Spiral House (David and Gladys Wright House), an impressive curved building designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1952 in Phoenix for his son and daughter-in-law, has just been purchased for $7.25 million by the Benson Botsford LLC group.

It has thus finally escaped the numerous threats of destruction it has been subject to since it was put up for sale in 2009. The purchasers are committed to restoring and preserving this masterpiece of 20th-century architectural heritage. Group CEO Jim Benson and architects Bing Hu and Wenchin Shi plan to complete Frank Lloyd Wright’s original project by installing a copper roof on the building.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy has finally won its long-standing heritage conservation battle!
